Demo - NuPrime Omnia S1 - Networkplayer, Bargain corner, Multiroom & Streaming

The pure hi-fi streamer Omnia S1 is based on Linux is a hub for the digital music collection. With a local music library, the S1 automatically loads all media connected to it, and online streaming via Tidal and more. The S1 is a clean streamer with digital outputs, including I2S connection that can send out a resolution of 768K and DSD1024.
The S1 is visible on the network as a DLNA server, so you can choose which app you want to use for streaming. However, we highly recommend BubbleUPnP or Hifi Cast, easy to use where you also run Tidal in full quality to the S1.

  • I2S connection that can send out a resolution of 768K and DSD1024
  • Linux as software that is optimized for sound quality
  • Automatic loading of local media
  • Streaming via Tidal etc

Previous customer return in absolute new condition. This has the latest firmware with Linux as the basis.
Really easy to start up, with a network cable, just plug in and it is immediately visible on the network as a playback point.

Omnia S1 is a purpose-built streamer that acts as both server and receiver for your digital audio collection. Both the server and the renderer are DLNA/UPnP compatible, providing the flexibility to stream music stored on the Omnia S1 to other DLNA/UPnP compatible renderer networks; and also stream music from other DLNA/UPnP compatible servers to the Omnia S1. You can choose to use any DLNA/UPnP compatible control software (e.g. Bubble UPnP) with the Omnia S1.
Because the Omnia S1 is a digital transport without the moving parts of a disk-based system, its performance surpasses most CD transports. The dedicated firmware designed for low-latency playback allows for a superior quality compared to typical PC or ARM-based offerings.

The firmware used for the Omnia S1 is based on the Linux Debian operating system. A customized hardware has been developed that is used to send bit-perfect digital audio through the digital outputs. It also allows playback of Hi-Res PCM audio, DSD(DoP) and I2S via a compatible DAC.

Hardware features:

  • ARM CPU and firmware handle 32-bit/768kHz and DSD1024 decoding of all available music formats.
  • Audio processing decoupled from CPU: To isolate audio processing from performance degradation due to high CPU utilization or signal interruption due to wireless overload, the Omnia Audio Processor Unit (OAP Unit) operates independently of the CPU, providing caching of digital music and completely eliminating jitter.

Advantages of Omnia S1
Stream extremely high-resolution music with sampling rates from PCM 32 kHz to 768 kHz and DSD64 to DSD512 (on the I2S output). Optical and coaxial outputs are limited to PCM 192 kHz and DSD 64.
Play streaming services and other media apps on the local device, without the need for a smartphone controller.

Play high-resolution music directly on the Omnia S1 - Use a DLNA-compatible app (e.g. BubbleUPnP) on a mobile device as a controller to browse the music library on the Omnia S1 and "stream" to Renderer located on the same Omnia S1 or another Omnia S1 remotely.

If for some reason you feel dissatisfied, just contact us and we will help you with the return shipping, you can also take advantage of our shipping agreements with lower prices. Costs that will be charged to the customer are the shipping to the customer and the return shipping to us at MYC HiFi. For return approval, the item must be returned in new condition and in the original packaging.

Regarding speakers, be aware that speakers may need a long recording time to come into their own. After a couple of hours you can usually get a taste of what to expect, but a speaker deserves 100h+ before serious listening. The speakers we sell with ribbon tweeters need several hundred hours before they start to sing. So feel free to leave the speakers on around the clock so you can quickly accumulate hours.

If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us.
