NuPrime's Class A+D hybrid amplification technology brings the substance and warmth of Class A amplification and the efficiency and speed of Class D technology to an environment of immeasurable noise. The IDA-8's spacious, transparent, dynamic and luxuriously textured soundstage has to be heard to be believed. The NuPrime IDA-8 consists of an integrated ultra-low noise amplifier and a digital-to-analog converter that decodes USB PCM 384 and DSD 256 with the convenience of wireless audio in a small, sleekly designed home stereo component.
- Output power: 100W x 2 @ 8 ohms
- State-of-the-art DAC with support for USB PCM 384 and DSD256, which can also decode DoP formats via coaxial and optical inputs
- Advanced ladder network with thin-film coupled resistors for volume control, with a single resistor in the signal path at all volume settings
- USB extension port for streaming (NuPrime Omnia Stream Mini, WR-2 or BTR-HD for blue tooth). This is a special port that provides S/PDIF signals and 5V power supply
- NuPrime vibration-free isolation feet
With all stages in a single chassis, the IDA-8 utilizes the shortest possible signal paths to achieve vanishingly low noise and distortion levels, giving the music a black velvet background.
The IDA-8's low noise is further complemented by an innovative volume control based on a thin-film resistor that places a single resistor in the signal path for each volume setting. "The switched resistor design is implemented using FPGA chips. Volume changes occur in 99 precise 0.5 dB steps for each input's individually adjustable volume level. Precise level adjustment is a breeze, as is the user's ability to make comparisons between different music sources.
By using discrete components in the NuPrime's ULCAM circuitry, the signal can be fine-tuned to reduce noise and provide maximum power. The NuPrime amplifier circuit improves on the traditional Class D design by using a self-oscillating circuit to generate pulse-width modulation. The amplifier switches at a frequency of 600 kHz, which is well above the compact disc sampling rate of 44.1 kHz. Most Class D amplifiers switch at 300 kHz or lower. In addition, NuPrime's SRC IC chip provides FPGA processing for ultra-low jitter and distortion levels. NuPrime's new linear power supply with high-efficiency toroidal transformer for reduced high-frequency noise and improved low-frequency performance completes the package. The damping effect of the NuPrime isolation feet (patent pending) absorbs and cancels vibrations that degrade audio performance. The overall result is an unrivaled transient rate and an almost shocking level of dynamic impact.
The IDA-8 achieves THD+N (Total Harmonic Distortion + Noise) levels of less than 0.005% while achieving system efficiency of up to 93%. The IDA-8's frequency response up to 50 kHz elevates vocals to emotional heights, and similarly, the upper register of the instrument mimics the shimmering heights of live performance. The IDA-8's features and specifications have few equals.

Buy&Try applies to the entire Aune, Auralic, Quadral, Sbooster & Taga range.
Buy & try gives you as a customer the opportunity to try out the product in your own home environment, instead of standing in a stressful store and trying to form an opinion. Rooms behave very differently and affect the sound in different ways and we give you the opportunity to demo the product for a full 30 days, in your own home.
If for some reason you feel dissatisfied, just contact us and we will help you with the return shipping, you can also take advantage of our shipping agreements with lower prices. Costs that will be charged to the customer are the shipping to the customer and the return shipping to us at MYC HiFi. For return approval, the item must be returned in new condition and in the original packaging.
Regarding speakers, be aware that speakers may need a long recording time to come into their own. After a couple of hours you can usually get a taste of what to expect, but a speaker deserves 100h+ before serious listening. The speakers we sell with ribbon tweeters need several hundred hours before they start to sing. So feel free to leave the speakers on around the clock so you can quickly accumulate hours.
If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us.
- Buy & Try applies to goods that are normally kept in stock and not to order goods, unless otherwise agreed.
We provide at least a 2-year warranty on all products, some products have up to a 5-year warranty. With this, you avoid expensive insurances and can feel safe as a customer. In case of problems during the warranty period, contact us and we will solve it quickly and smoothly.
