Tagas' award-winning and critically acclaimed flagship has been revised and refined. Version 2 of the Platinum F-100 SE delivers even better sonic performance and offers unbeatable performance for the price range.
Once again, the bar has been raised and V.2 includes significant design improvements.
TLIE (Taga Low Interference Enclosure) - The beautiful handcrafted enclosure is now even more rigid which minimizes vibration and thus coloration of the sound. The thickness of the MDF walls has been increased from 15mm to 18mm.
3rd generation TPTTD-II (Taga Pure Titanium Tweeter Dome) uses a different shape and has a lighter titanium dome - it allows faster, more precise movement which contributes to a more detailed and airy sound.
3rd Generation TPACD-II (Taga Pure Aluminum cone Driver) - New adjustments and improvements along with redesigned magnet (oversized dual magnet Φ 90 / Φ 80) provide higher power handling and faster, airier midrange.
2nd Generation TWCD-I (Taga Woolen Cone Driver) Utilizes a mix of different cone materials - the cone is lighter for faster response and provides better definition, more dynamics and transient-fast bass. The redesigned voice coil utilizes thicker, cleaner winding and offers even higher power handling.
New driver placement: The tweeter is positioned closer to the midrange than in the previous version to provide even better transition between high and mid frequencies. The basses were moved slightly upwards to change the bass definition and its dispersion.
Completely reworked crossover filter partly to fit the updated elements and to achieve a higher quality of reproduction, a delicate treble, better defined midrange and more dynamic bass.
Supplied with extra aluminum spikes for increased stability of the speakers and protect the floor from being scratched.

Regarding speakers, be aware that speakers may need a long recording time to come into their own. After a couple of hours you can usually get a taste of what to expect, but a speaker deserves 100h+ before serious listening. The speakers we sell with ribbon tweeters need several hundred hours before they start to sing. So feel free to leave the speakers on around the clock so you can quickly accumulate hours.
